Ideal Candidates for Breast Augmentation and Reshaping.
Breast augmentation using silicone breast implants, a ‘boob job’, is the most common method of enlarging the breasts.
In a single surgical procedure, the breasts can be increased in size significantly.
This method of breast augmentation is usually the most cost-effective.
In some cases, candidates should delay breast augmentation surgery until after they have nursed children.
Implants alone cannot lift the breasts and the weight of implants may cause already drooping breasts to descend lower.
In some cases, B-Lite implants will be recommended, as B-Lite implants are significantly lighter than silicone-gel implants.
An ideal candidate has excess fat in one or more areas of the body, that can be removed (liposuctioned) from the donor site and injected back into the breasts.
Using fat to augment the breasts has a number of advantages, however, a candidate looking for a large increase in breast size may not be suitable for this procedure.
Breast augmentation by fat transfer is likely to require 2 or more procedures.
At a cost of around £5,800 per fat transfer, and with the need to have 2 or 3 procedures, the total cost can be around £15,000; significantly more expensive than using implants.
